ImmoGnost's CE-certified SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) rapid test features a high sensitivity of 96.19% and specificity of 99.04% and is the first COVID-19 antigen rapid test to be produced entirely in Germany. This is true not only of the production location, but also of the raw materials used.
The ImmoGnost SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Rapid Test is a point-of-care test that must be performed by medically trained personnel. It does not, however, require additional staff to determine the results, nor does it require a corresponding laboratory.
The sample is taken from the anterior nasal region. A swab depth of only 2.5 cm is necessary for this. The test result is available in just 10 minutes. Thanks to this, the ImmoGnost SARS-CoV-2
(COVID-19) rapid test immediately provides an initial, daily update on the infection status of the person tested.
All the materials needed for the swab are included in the ImmoGnost SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) rapid test package. This test is performed with a test tube into which 300 μl of extraction buffer (carrier liquid) is first added. The nasal swab is then taken using a sterilised, flexible swab, which is then placed in the filled sample tube. 3 drops of the swab in the carrier fluid can now be transferred from the test tube to a test cassette in a few simple steps. 10 minutes after sample insertion the result is available.
The test procedure identifies protein fragments from the shell of the virus. If positive, the specific anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody on the membrane forms a blue test line in the evaluation field of the test cassette with the SARS-CoV-2 antigen from the sample and the second specific antibody from the latex conjugate.
